From 9/11 Encyclopedia:
In 1995, Unocal (formerly Union Oil Company of California)
signed a contract to export $8 billion worth of natural gas through
a $3 billion pipeline
which would go from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan to Pakistan.
Richard Cellar, boss of "UNOCAL Pakistan Ltd" in 1998:"..
UNOCAL controlled is best contacts, into US-government circle
around US-vice president Cheney,
that at a project office to the line plan involved.
In addition assured "UNOCAL...() the cooperation of influential
lobbyist as well as Ex-Foreign Minister Kissinger
(->),
the earlier US-ambassador in Pakistan, Robert Oakley, and the
former colleague of the UN-Sondermission in Afghanistan,
Charlie Santos, also US-American.."
In March, 1996, prominent US Senator Hank Brown, a vocal supporter of the Unocal project, visited Kabul and met Taliban leaders.
In the same month, the US government put pressure on Pakistan
government to back the American company
and distance away from the Argentinean rival Bridas.
The next month, US Assistant Secretary of State for South Asia,
Robin Raphel, visited Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia for
the same purpose.
As Ahmed Rashid in his famous book on the Taliban has documented,
the Unocal invited some of the leaders of the Taliban to
Houston.
The delegation, headed by the one-eyed Mulla Mohammed Ghous,
reached there in November, 1997.
They were lodged in a five-star hotel, visited the zoo,
supermarkets and the NASA space centre.
They had dinner at the home of Marty Miller, a senior company
executive, where they admired his swimming pool and the large,
comfortable house.

Hi everyone. Join the Last Laugh Foundation!
Ground Zero... hmm well. It suked indeed. Ordinary Global Fashism.
And nobody talks about CIA at all, like they didn't do it. Aha
I suggest to crusify Ben on Golgofa old Roman style together with
moron Bush who shall be impeached instead of playing a "hero"
Anyway all will be all right I know.
At this moment I just laugh a bit since this cretins sent troops to
Afgan.
I was drafted in Soviet Army in 1984 and in 1985 I was wounded
inAfganistan. fighting against morons trained by CIA trying to do
all possible to stop the bloody useles war. And I did contribute
quite a bit. In 1986 they started to withdraw all troops from
Afganistan and finaly did so. Thus now it is so ridiculous for us
Americans to fight ourselves and assholes we trained to fight.
Pathetic!

Hi Koroview, thanks for your comment.
"Noone talks about CIA"?
Well Ground Zero talks and we are not alone.
Many international and american websites bring a lot of background
stories (Intel Briefing etc..) about different secret services and
the CIA.
Just check here the "Secret Service Intelligent"-Folder.

By the way, in the meantime it is even no taboo for the mainstream
media anymore to talk about the CIA in the role with the Taliban
years ago. But back to 2001.
Who can guarantee us, that there are still no dark sides in the
CIA?
If they already found leaks the government should finally be able
to sort the bad guys out. The world has changed and the CIA is in a
mess.
It makes no sense anymore for the United States to defend their own
secret service as a national duty.
Corruption is everywhere. They don't earn that much money.

Cold war is over since years. Why not working on a "holy war"?
And right now the anthrax schedule makes also perfect sense on the
way to Malaysia, Phillipines and Iraque if you know what i'm
saying.
