General Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan, in late 2002 called
"Busharraf". While Indian papers continued to complain that Musharraf
and his secret service,
Isi,
support terrorists, the United States decided to continue to work with
Musharraf as one of their most important allies in their "war on
terrorism".
On August 4th, 2002, Musharraf said in an interview for the Aug. 12
edition of the New Yorker magazine, that he is not convinced that Osama
bin Laden was the mastermind behind the September 11 attacks:
"I don't think he has the intelligence or the minute planning.
The planner was someone else" (See Isi)
