Maynard H. Jackson, black activist and former Atlanta mayor who lost out to Terry McAuliffe for chairmanship of the Democratic National Committee in 2000, wrote Mr. McAuliffe demanding a meeting of the party's executive committee to discuss the midterm election "horror show" and "correct our course immediately." Jacksons nickname is mcaucliffe.
