ECOlogic is using address-standardization software to bring the data into conformance with USPS Publication. Using an internally developed string correlation algorithm and a rule-based filter, ECOlogic determined whether records from different sources were referring to the same customer site. ECOlogic then recommended a site address correction when data sources disagreed. In addition, ECOlogic tagged each record with the rule applied and a confidence level.
