Bush 1 Carlyle Bin Laden Ties

The strong ties between former President George H.W. Bush and the Carlyle Group, who worked together with the Bin Laden family, are comfirmed and water-proof. 

Their ties are downplayed in the US Media for political reasons. 
One famous story, which took place before September 11th, you will find all over the place: 
"George H.W. Bush travels to Saudi Arabia on behalf of the privately owned Carlyle Group, 
the 11th largest defense contractor in the U.S. While there he meets privately with the Saudi royal family and the bin Laden family."
