"...Last month, a former AT&T technician said in a sealed court document filed in federal court that the company cooperated with NSA to install equipment for "vacuum cleaner surveillance" of e-mail messages and Internet traffic, according to his lawyer.

Attorney Miles Ehrlich of Berkeley, California, told CNN that his client, Mark Klein, said there is a special room inside an AT&T building in San Francisco that is entirely controlled by NSA personnel and contains equipment that can sift through large amounts of Internet traffic...

05/12 Update
The privatized NSA "takeover"
-How NSA and NARUS spied on us between 1993 and 2001

By ewing2001

On Friday Michael Hayden defended the "secret surveillance programs" he oversaw while head of the National Security.

What noone writes about, this isn't just a cover-up of some violations of privacy, it is strongly also connected with the cover-up of BOTH 9/11 plotline and military operation of 9/11, which included more than just 'controlled demolitions', apparent 'TV fakery" and some missiles.

It was a logistical operation on how to establish
a complete paradigm change on surveillance and profiling.

As many 9/11 researchers concluded,
also already the first attack
on the Twin Towers was a false flag operation.
In the very same year, the new generation of the Internet was born.
The navigation tool Gopher was soon to be replaced with a "web browser".

In hindsight, both 'events' look already as the beginning
for the logistical intelligence plannings for 9/11,
which also included a major spy operation
and overhaul of the military- and intelligent apparatus.

Let's take another look on the players,
obviously very close to the real perpetrators of 9/11 and also one of the biggest profiteers since 9/11:

Mountain View

In the mid 90s Mountain View, CA became one of the most significant
cities for high tech companies, all closely associated with
private- and military intelligence:

Booz Allen & Hamilton
a global management and technology consulting firm

Global Graphics Software
a leading worldwide supplier of printing, electronic document
and workflow software

IntelliGenetics
bioinformatics, or computational molecular biology,
in 1993 Incorporation of Affymetrix to commercialize the GeneChip

NASA Ames Research Center

Sun Microsystems

Vitacom
satellite technologies

Mountain View should also become the main headquarter for "Google",
officially incorporated as a 'privately held corporation' in September, 1998

But most interesting is Narus (http://www.narus.com)
Heaquartered also in Mountain View, CA, Narus also have offices
throughout North America, EMEA (France, Germany, U.K.), Asia (Japan,
Korea, China), and Brazil.

One of their partners is VeriSign, a company which is
specialised in security and traffic analysis.

Verisign created iDefense in May 1998 and is provider
of security intelligence for the U.S. Government and other governments.

On Board of Narus is William P. Crowell,
an independent security consultant.

After 9/11 Crowell has served on the
Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Task Force on
Terrorism and Deterrence, the National Research Council Committee on
Science and Technology for Countering Terrorism and the Markle
Foundation Task Force on National Security in the Information Age.

Less known is, that Narus also worked with the NSA, apparently right after the establishment of the first browsers for the internet (Mosaic, Netscape, both developed by Sun Microsystems)

Crowell actually had senior positions at the NSA, including
Deputy Director of Operations and Deputy Director of
the Agency.
http://www.narus.com/about/board.html

He was also director of RVison,
a video surveillance technology company.
Crowell also served as a vice president at
Atlantic Aerospace Electronics Corporation,
now a subsidiary of Titan Systems.
http://www.arcsight.com/about_team.htm

Another Flashback:

On December 4th, 1981 by U.S. presidential executive order 12333, the NSA becomes a component of the Department of Defense.
Headquarters for the NSA is at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland

The origins of the NSA can be traced to an organization originally established within the Department of Defense, under the command of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as the Armed Forces Security Agency (AFSA), on May 20, 1949.

Officially the NSA was created on December 10, 1951 and then
authorized in a letter written by President Harry S. Truman in June of 1952.
Truman's letter was itself classified and remained unknown to the public for more than a generation.

The NSA was embroiled in controversy concerning its involvement in the creation of the Data Encryption Standard (DES), a standard and public block cipher used by the US government. During development by IBM in the 1970s, the NSA recommended changes to the algorithm.

Also the NSA has the ability to file for a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office under gag order.

Unlike a normal patent, the NSA's is never revealed to the public and never expires.

The NSA is also believed to be mainly responsible for, among other things, the operation of the ECHELON system,
which has the ability to monitor a large proportion of the world's transmitted civilian telephone, fax and data traffic.

Less known than the directors of the NSA (once labelled as "no such agency"), are their Deputy Directors.

Since June 2000 that was William B. Black, Jr., formerly
Director of Information Operations of SAIC (Science Applications International Corporation).

However since Black already worked for the NSA
between 1959 and 1997, SAIC is also (without any confirmations)
occasionally labelled as a front for the NSA.

Black became acting Director in 2005 when Lt. Gen. Michael Hayden left to become Deputy Director of National Intelligence.

In 1994, the Communications Assistance for Law
Enforcement Act was established.

It appears now, that since then the NSA worked
with the NARUS STA-like systems to spy on U.S. Citizens.

Though there are less indications, on when actually
the NARUS/NSA cooperation started, it is clear,
that it was years before 9/11.

As high tech researcher "constant" writes on constantpated.blogspot
http://tinyurl.com/npzg8 ,
"...NARUS discussed in 1999 with Oracle the concept of Semantic Traffic
Analysis, two years before Sept 2001...

...it appears NSA contractors were brought into the nexus
to not only support this bill, but immediately move to develop IT
systems that would support the law enforcement. It remains to be
understood what happened between 1994 and Sept 2001.

...Given the 1994 legislation, it is not likely that the federal
government would:

# Use only one contractor

# Wait until 2001 to develop a system

"...It remains to be understood which other NSA contractors like Raytheon
and Lockheed Martin designed the ground station system to receive and
process data from systems other than AT&T and the NARUS STA 6400.

...Here is a sample conference:
To see the links between NARUS and law
enforcement consider this link.
At the links you'll see well
established organizations like the FBI, JTTF, various local law
enforcements, and Booz Allen
, winner of the big contracts in Iraq..."

As a matter of fact, yet another Director of NARUS
is Andrew Kau, former management consultant at Booz, Allen & Hamilton.

"Constant" writes, that the US government knows
that "its data mining isn't connected with a
real threat.
They knew full well who really placed the explosives
inside the WTC..."

For sure that's just Constant's opinion, but then there is also
the case of Mark Klein.

Klein worked for 22 and 1/2 years as an AT&T technician,
first in New York and then in California.

In April 2006 Klein testified, what he observed first-hand:
http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,70621-0.html

"...In 2002, when I was working in an AT&T office in San Francisco, the
site manager told me to expect a visit from a National Security Agency
agent, who was to interview a management-level technician for a special
job. The agent came, and by chance I met him and directed him to the
appropriate people...

...I learned that the person whom the NSA interviewed for the secret job
was the person working to install equipment in this room.

The regular technician work force was not allowed in the room...

...In October 2003, the company transferred me to the San Francisco
building to oversee the Worldnet Internet room,
which included large routers,
racks of modems for customers' dial-in services, and other equipment...

...One of the documents listed the equipment installed in the secret room,
and this list included a Narus STA 6400, which is a "Semantic Traffic Analyzer".

The Narus STA technology is known to be used particularly by government intelligence agencies because of its ability to sift through large amounts of data looking for preprogrammed targets..."

"Civil Right groups" allegedly fight for the rights and privacy of U.S. Citizens,
but they're praying the official story of 9/11, which turns their 'fight'
into a limited hangout.

Many specialized 9/11 researchers argue from their personal view, that "civil right activism" actually died on 9/11,
and more symbolically on October 23, 2005, when Rosa Parks
died.

There is no real 'civil right activist' right now alive.

While it was now "revealed", that shortly after 9/11,
Verizon, AT&T Corp. and BellSouth Corp provided data for the NSA,
can we really be sure, that this didn't happen already before 9/11 as well?

Verizon was already linked with U.S. military before 9/11.

Director Ivan G. Seidenberg formerly worked with Honeywell International Inc..

And AT+T is Lucent, another government contractor.

Meanwhile Lucent is trying to finish up a merger with french Alcatel,
which should make the 'cooperation' with the NSA even more suspicious
and possibly also difficult:

On Board of Alcatel is Jean-Pascal Beaufret,
former executive in the French Ministry of Finance
(Treasury).

He was also in charge of government debt management
and financial industry regulation
(1988-1994).

Right from the beginning the Internet was well known as a military-government project,
first developed as MILNET, then DARPANET, then INTERNET.

Immediately when browsers made the internet more popular, the main cause
was to promote "communities, profiling, datamining and monitoring"

The most popular community projects have all military- or intelligence background.

Ebay is run by Richard T. Schlosberg III,
former graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.
Schlosberg also was Chief Executive Officer of Euro Disney S.A.,
the parent company of Disneyland Paris, from 1993,
and Executive Vice President of The Walt
Disney Company (Europe) S.A., from October 1996.
http://investor.ebay.com/governance/bios.cfm

We will see the Internet-Disney connection more often.

Most important, in October 2002 Ebay took over PayPal,
which is specialised for payment processing for e-commerce vendors
and auction sites.
In March 2002, two PayPal account holders separately
sued the company for alleged violations of the
Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA) and California law.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paypal

Paypal is also close to other "community" projects.

Former employees Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim,
created the popular video community "YouTube".

Or "Yelp", a database of user reviews, mainly of restaurants and stores,
but also of medical providers, automotive services,
cultural venues, professional services, other websites, and the like.

Yelp was incubated by former PayPal employee Max Levchin.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yelp

Yelp receives money from Bessemer Venture Partners,
which include companies like Halliburton subsidiary Ingersoll Rand,
VeriSign, Veritas, and American Superconductor.

Verisign as we learned, is a partner of NARUS and another
close military- and intelligent contractor.
In 2000 they bought Network Solutions.

Then there is William A. Roper, Jr.
Since April 2000, he has served as
Corporate Executive Vice President of intelligence contractor
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

He also sits on the board of Verisign.
http://tinyurl.com/fxwxb

Or Robert J. Korzeniewski who also worked for SAIC
between 1987 to 1996
http://tinyurl.com/ffzes

Or Aristotle Balogh, former employee of military contractor
Westinghouse Electric Corporation, owner of CBS.

Then there is google, which openly works with ex-NSA
employees together, but also the NASA.

They're not only several times allowed to buy sub projects
from CIA venture capital firm In-Q-tel; also in November 2005, In-Q-Tel
- issued notices to sell $2.2 million worth of Google stock!
http://www.homelandstupidity.us/2006/02/22/google-in-bed-with-us-intelligence/

It is pretty obvious, that Google had been providing
assistance to the U.S. intelligence community since Day 1,
when they got created in spooker city Mountain View, CA.

It therefore doesn't even need a confirmation, that google
de facto at least "functions" as a NSA front.

While google and yahoo appear as competitors, there
are occasional cooperations on development levels.

Yahoo lost their cute geek status a long time ago as well.

It's clearly also an intelligence- and somehow a 'military operation', because profiling is military power and power makes money.

Yahoo director Ed Kozel, previously worked at Boeing,
McDonnell Douglas and SRI International.

Then there is the Walt Disney Connection again:

Terry Semel, formerly in charge of Walt Disney's
Theatrical Distribution division.

Or Gary Wilson formerly director of The Walt Disney Company,
where he worked for 15 years.

Disney also owns ABC Network, which is Capital Cities,
created in 1954 by ex-CIA William Casey and since then
belittled as CIA front as well.

Goss and the CIA 'scandal' -the latest

While it appears that the bribery and hooker scandal
of the cIA is just a sideshow to distract from
the MZM connections of Admiral Michael Hayden,
it's also interesting to see the background of ex-CIA (no.3) Kyle Foggo.

Today it was reported, that the FBI searched his home and office
in Vienna, VA.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/politics/3860547.html

Foggo grew up in the San Diego, CA area,
where at least 3 official suspects of 9/11 had been linked to:
Khalid Almihdhar, Nawaf Alhazmi, Hani Hanjour.

According to Global Security, about one-fourth of total employment
locally is due to the military.

It is not only connected with various Navy bases, but it also
became home of high technology telecommunications and biotechnology,
all linked with military- and intelligence contractors, i.e.
the main headquarters of Titan Corporation or SAIC.

Why is it, that the 9/11 plotline is located in cities,
where you can find more U.S. Intelligence employees than regular citizens?

On the morning of Sep11th, alleged 9/11 suspect Hani Hanjour
and 4 other alleged suspects met in a motel right outside the gates of the NSA,
Fort Meade.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/from_our_own_correspondent/2033791.stm

9/11 suspects Waleed Alshehri lived on Orrin Street in Vienna, VA (Parkview Apartments)
three blocks from a CIA facility.

Also 'suspect' Nawaq Alhamzi officially lived for a while in Vienna, but that is also the same city where ex-NSA
Linda Mills resided, Director of the Markle Foundation's National Security Program.
And that's also where Kyle Foggo lives?

Too many spooks neighbouring the alleged suspects of 9/11.

Millis, ex-CIA and ex-NSA was already working before 9/11
at Business Executives for National Security (BENS) on the establishment
for the Homeland Security, together with the ANSER Institute.
http://www.markle.org/about_markle/who_we_are/management/linda_millis.php
http://inn.globalfreepress.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=485

Coincidence, in awareness of alleged pending attacks or in clear knowledge
of U.S. orchestration of the attacks?

Linda Millis was married with John Millis, former Staff Director of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, who committed suicide in June 2000.
http://www.cia.gov/cia/public_affairs/press_release/2000/pr06062000.html

During early 2001 Linda Millis was working as the
Deputy Chief of Cryptologic Services Group of the CIA, where she briefed the Deputy Director of Intelligence daily
and contributed to the Presidents Bush Daily Brief.

Since 9/11, the NSA improved their profiling projects with help of U.S. Satellites, the Internet and their various affiliated community companies.

If civil right 'activists' allegedly complain about 'eavesdropping' or 'phone records', they don't tell you the truth. They know about much more,
what's going on.

It is more than obvious that civil right- and electronic watch dog groups are itself
infiltrated by U.S. military and intelligence, to have a limited hangout under control
and distract away from the 9/11 Inside Job issue, which they will never address.

Every NSA-"findings" in mainstream media are just the tip of the iceberg.

In September 2005, the NSA granted a Net location-tracking patent
http://news.com.com/NSA+granted+Net+location-tracking+patent/2100-7348_3-5875953.html

It described a way to discover someone's physical location by comparing it to a "map" of Internet addresses with known locations.

One of the main competitors of this concept are Digital Envoy and
Quova, a privately held firm, once again in Mountain View, CA.
http://www.quova.com/

One of Quovas partners is VeriSign.
Ironically, when the latest NSA 'spy patent' was reported on some online geek portals,
Quova Vice President Gary Jackson wasn't even concerned about competition:

"It's honestly not clear that there's anything special or technically advanced about what they're describing...I don't think it impacts us in any way..."

Maybe because the sponsors of Quova and NSA are working for the same clan anyway,
an internationally operating U.S. consortium of meanwhile privatized military- and
intelligence contractors and consulting agencies, among them SAIC and others....
http://www.saic.com/corporategovernance/bod.html#members

Quovas' Chief Financial Officer Jean-Louis Casabonne started
his finance career at Lockheed Missiles & Space Company.
http://www.quova.com/page.php?id=24

This isn't a U.S. government affair anymore.
It is also too much of a bigger picture than to
be irresponsibly hijacked again by (left-)gatekeeper politics.

This is a constitutional threat against right- and left wing.

U.S Intelligence is going to be replaced more on more with privatized intelligence and -military.

This was planned since the early 90s and the military needed a digital and military "Pearl harbour" for this.

This is about the complete truth on 9/11,
including the media perp cover-up.
Mainstream Media will not write about this.
Mainstream Media IS a military operation.
MSM is a controlled intelligence psyOP, with clear
chapters for every month.

Their spin is always
predictable, their stories about controlled oppositions, including the "9/11 truth movement"
calculated.

The "setup" against the CIA was just the beginning.

Everyone who still believes, that there is any
"negligence" within the NSA and their private intel partners is a fool.

"tomorrow is zero hour"
(September 10th, 2001 NSA)

The NSA and their military partners will not even be concerned about this article here because they know that there will be no follow-up action anyway.

The 9/11 truth movement and all false oppositions are controlled.
What this author writes about the NSA (and their puppets in this movement) is irrelevant, because ineffective, because only reaching small circles.
http://tinyurl.com/eg4z6

The 'truth' doesn't matter anymore, because this meme was hijacked by the truthlings and they follow the rules of their spooker friends, one by one.

Therefore under the cover of NSA, NRO and NGA,
the real perpetrators of 9/11 will continue
with one of the main goals for 9/11:

Winning the 'satellite space and surveillance war' against Russia and China.

(*this thread was also once again
successfully linked from
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/earlywarning/2006/05/telephone_records_are_just_the.html

William Arkin ("Early Warning" blog) describes a list of some 500 software tools, databases, data mining and processing efforts contracted for, under development or in use at the NSA and other intelligence agencies today

Arkin still claims, he believes in the official story of 9/11.
Arkin's credibility can be compared with an Insider and limited hangouter as well

how to establish
a complete paradigm change on surveillance and profiling.

Great statement! This is exactly what September 11 was for. You hear it now constantly from the talking heads saying that "September 11 changed everything." "It's a different world after 9/11."

It is used as justification for tracking, registering, allowing for military operations within the United States, destroying what is left of any constitutional protections and limits of government, rejecting the right of privacy for "the greater good" and for "security", and for entrenching within the minds of "the masses", the overwhelming majority of the citizens of the US (the primary target for 9/11), that all of this is for their security. For their posterity. They will willingly accept RFID, biometrics, national identification, possibly subdermal microchipping.

The spooks and kooks are not a bunch of bumbling fools. They never have been. They know exactly what they are doing. They are the master professionals. Master manipulators. Now it seems as if the pieces are falling into place.

Will the majority of Americans figure any of this out? Never. Why? Because they are, as Plato described, incurably ignorant. And not necessarily due to any fault of their own.

Latest updates from the NSA 9/11 cover-up and limited hangout scam

Secret gov't source tells ABC News: 'Get new cellphones'
http://newsblogs.chicagotribune.com/news_theswamp/2006/05/govt_source_tel.html
May 15, 2006
Frank James

ABC News has a very disturbing report today, at least for reporters and
anyone else who believe that whistleblowers serve an important role in
safeguarding American democracy.

On its blog, The Blotter, ABC News reports that a senior government
source has told its reporters that the reporters’ phone calls with
sources are being tracked by the U.S. government “to root out
confidential sources.

I hasten to say I don't have independent confirmation of the ABC News
report. But I thought it was something readers of The Swamp would find
interesting. The item follows.

Federal Source to ABC News: We Know Who You're Calling

Brian Ross and Richard Esposito Report:

A senior federal law enforcement official tells ABC News the government
is tracking the phone numbers we call in an effort to root out
confidential sources.

"It's time for you to get some new cell phones, quick," the source told

Verizon: NSA Didn't Ask Us for Records
AP - 1 hour, 28 minutes ago
May 16, 2006

NEW YORK - Verizon Communications Inc. on Tuesday joined fellow phone company BellSouth Corp. in denying key points of a USA Today story that said the companies had provided records of millions of phone calls to the government. Verizon has not provided customer call data to the National Security Agency, nor had it been asked to do so, the company said in an e-mailed statement. The statement came a day after BellSouth Corp. made a similar denial...

Congressional Panels to Get NSA Briefings
AP - 1 hour, 2 minutes ago
http://news.yahoo.com/fc/world/espionage_and_intelligence
May 17, 2006

WASHINGTON - The Bush administration will brief the full House and Senate Intelligence Committees in Congress on the National Security Agency's controversial surveillance activities, reversing course after five months.

The sessions scheduled for Wednesday afternoon on Capitol Hill were to be led by the NSA's director, Lt. Gen. Keith B. Alexander, and were sure to focus on the ultra-secret agency's efforts to monitor domestic calls when one party is overseas and suspected of terrorism, as well as the agency's efforts to collect records on ordinary Americans' calls...

http://www.nsa.gov/about/about00022.cfm
Lieutenant General Keith B. Alexander, USA, is the Director, National Security Agency/Chief, Central Security Service (NSA/CSS), Fort George G. Meade, MD. As the Director of NSA and Chief of CSS, he is responsible for a combat support agency of the Department of Defense with military and civilian personnel stationed worldwide.

He was born in Syracuse, NY, and entered active duty at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point...

...Previous assignments include the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G-2), Headquarters, Department of the Army, Washington, DC; Commanding General of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command at Fort Belvoir, VA; Director of Intelligence, United States Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, FL; and Deputy Director for Requirements, Capabilities, Assessments and Doctrine, J-2, for the Joint Chiefs of Staff...

Lt. Gen. Keith B. Alexander, New Director of NSA:
Eavesdropping Isn't Easy, the Master at It Says

17aug2005
http://tinyurl.com/ebtjn (nytimes.com)

"..."It's no longer looking for a Soviet division; the threat is now about a person," Lt. Gen. Keith B. Alexander said in his first interview since beginning work this month as chief of the eavesdropping and code-breaking agency...

...General Alexander, who on Tuesday repeatedly praised General Hayden's work in six years transforming what by many accounts had been an agency in danger of being left behind by the global communications revolution.
A modernization program called Trailblazer, entailing a vast upgrade of computer systems and other equipment, is intended to help the agency better intercept and sort cellphone, e-mail and other communications in its effort to track intelligence targets.

..."There have been some good things that came out of Trailblazer," he said, adding that he could not describe them because, like so many of N.S.A.'s activities, they are classified. ..

SAIC was forced by NSA to provide more people for "Trailblazer"

http://mason.gmu.edu/~mcasey4/610/dl/System_error.pdf
Baltimore Sun, January 29, 2006

"...Meanwhile, Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC), the lead contractor on the project, did not provide enough people with the technical or management skills to produce such a sophisticated system, according to industry and NSA experts familiar with Trailblazer. And, they said, the company did not say no when the NSA made unrealistic demands...

...SAIC spokesman Jared Adams declined to comment, saying, "We have been asked to defer all comment regarding the NSA Trailblazer contract to the NSA."

Private Military Contractors to "fix" the 'illegal immigration' issue

Bush Turns to Big Military Contractors for Border Control
May 18, 2006

http://tinyurl.com/nfnsd (nytimes.com)

"...Bush is preparing to turn to a familiar administration partner: the nation's giant military contractors.
Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and Northrop Grumman, three of the largest, are among the companies that said they would submit bids within two weeks for a multibillion-dollar federal contract to build what the administration calls a "virtual fence" along the nation's land borders.

Using some of the same high-priced, high-tech tools these companies have already put to work in Iraq and Afghanistan — like unmanned aerial vehicles, ground surveillance satellites and motion-detection video equipment — the military contractors are zeroing in on the rivers, deserts, mountains and settled areas that separate Mexico and Canada from the United States..."
