Burlin came to ACS in June 2005 after a successful
26-year career with IBM.
Most recently, Burlin was a Partner of the US Federal
Industry Group of IBM's Business Consulting Services.
He was responsible for sales, revenue, profit, and
customer satisfaction for the services IBM provided to
the US Federal Government.
His position was unique in that all IBM Global
Services offerings to the Federal Government were
consolidated under his leadership, including
technology support services, outsourcing, and business
consulting services. He was ultimately responsible for
a $1.5 billion book of business.
Previous to that, Burlin was Vice President, Federal
Industry, where he had the responsibility to develop
and execute a strategy to reestablish IBM as a major
player in the government market after the company had
divested its position six years earlier. Beginning
from a base business of approximately $250 million,
Burlin led a 45% CGR over nine consecutive quarters.
